From our business trip to Phoenix, AZ we decided to drive 2 hours North to Sedona to relax for a day. Friends recommended Sedona to us and after we have been there: It was a great experience to see all the red rocks. Sedona is famous for those red sandstone formations. Depending on the light (sunrise or sunset) the formations shines in orange or red. We could take some photos that inspire us for a Catch of the Day week with the topic “Energy”. Take a look at Catch of the Day.
Some more words to Sedona:
The town is famous for its vibrant arts community with nearly 100 art galleries and events including the Sedona International Film Festival, Sedona Arts Festival and the Sedona Jazz Festival.
Sedona is also best known for its vortex places.
What is a vortex place? A vortex is believed to be a special spot on the earth where energy is either entering into the earth or projecting out of the earth’s plane. We heard that Sedona’s vortex energy is so powerful that you can actually feel it and that it is powerful enough to help people take giant leaps with their spiritual development.
Although all of Sedona is considered to be a vortex, there are special spots that have been identified where the energy is more intense and where you are more likely to actually feel the energy. These vortexes have been further categorized into “feminine” (energy entering the earth) and “masculine” (energy coming out of the earth). Cathedral Rock and the Chapel of the Holy Cross have been identified as feminine; Airport Mesa and Bell Rock as masculine. Boynton Canyon combines both.
We had a beautiful day off in Sedona and we recommend this place to everyone, AZ.
